Hello NLCC Achilles Families and Cadets

This is the weekly update for Friday May 27th. 

This week is our Promotions and Awards night, yes there is rain in the forecast but we are still hopefully we will be able to fit the ceremony in outside. Final decision on being outside in person or inside with parents online will be made by 4pm tomorrow. Link for streaming the ceremony will be sent out tonight, or tomorrow morning, this link will only be live if we can not be in person. Cadets who can't attend in person any presentations will be done before the live ceremony, if we are inside presentations will be made with everyone else. 

The ceremony will take place at 1930 (7:30pm) no matter where it is held, if in person dismissal will be immediately after the ceremony between 2000 - 2015, if the ceremony is held online we will keep the regular pick up times to allow parents to come to the ship after, OCs 2040 (8:40pm) and LC, PO1 and CPO2 2050 (8:50). 

Cadets are to be in best uniform, we will be checking, remind your cadets the discussed policy on ear rings, we will be checking.  Arrival for LC, PO1 and CPO2 1835 (6:35pm) and OCs 1845 (6:45), masks are still required and all cadets MUST complete the COVID online screening tool ( Link Here ).

Regular training is done, we will be doing Annual prep so no notebooks or writing materials are needed. Please bring a water bottle to have something to drink.

Hi NLCC Families and Cadets

This is the weekly update for Friday May 20th. We continue to be all in person. Cadets are asked to arrive at their assigned time CPO2, PO1 and LCs 1835 (6:35pm) and OCs 1845 (6:45pm) in uniform, with a mask. If you are not able to attend please email the Corps to advise, NLCCAchilles@gmail.com.

All cadets coming in person MUST complete our online COVID screening form by 1800 (6pm) on Friday. Link Here

This week is Promotional exams for the OCs and LCs, please bring a pencil if possible. PO1s and CPO2s you will be finishing up your teaching class assignment and public speaking classes, don't forget to bring all of your needed details.

Hello NLCC Achilles

This is the weekly update for Friday May 13th, this is a regular training week and the last week to review for your exams. Exams will be held Friday May 20th. 

We continue to be fully in person, with online available as much as possible for those unable to attend in person. Cadets are asked to arrive in person at their assigned times ( LC and above 1835 and OCs 1845) . COVID screen (LINK) MUST be completed by `1800 (6pm) and all cadets MUST wear a mask. For cadets attending online the Mass Classroom will be open at about 1845 (6:45pm), please be patient if it is open a little late. All cadets are to wear uniforms. Do not forget, binders, and writing material to take notes, there is a lot to review tonight.

Please note a date change. Promotions and some Awards will be given out Friday May 27th instead of June 3rd previously announced. If the weather allows we will have the ceremony outside so parents may attend. If the weather doesn't agree we will provide a Login so parents may watch online.

Hello NLCC Achilles Families

This the weekly update for Friday May 6th. This week is a fun night NO UNIFORMS, all cadets are to wear comfortable and appropriate civilian attire. Please wear good foot wear for moving and running. 

If you are unable to attend in person please let us know. We ask the cadets who are online to please check in for Colours at the start of the night to be noted for attendance but you are welcome to take the rest of the night off, as we will be in and out of the ship.

Hello NLCC Achilles Families and Cadets

This is the weekly update for  Friday April 29th. 

We continue to be full in person this week, if you are not able to attend in person please email the Corps at NLCCAchilles@gmail.com. Drop off times for LCs, POs and CPOs is 1835 ( 6:35pm ) and OCs 1845 ( 6:45pm ).  Cadets are to be in full uniform. Remember to complete for COVID Screening before 1800 (6pm) CLICK Here

This week we will be practicing drill, checking uniforms and learning about the Battle of Atlantic.

IMPORTANT - Sunday May 1st, Battle of Atlantic Service - Mandatory

This is a very important day for the Naval community, the first Sunday of May every year we remember the longest running battle of WWII, The Battle of Atlantic. All cadets are requested to attend in best uniforms to take a moment to remember. Arrival between 1400 - 1415 ( 2pm -2:15pm), service will begin at 1430 (2:30PM) and will only be 30 - 45mins, parents are encourage to stay and remember. Please complete the important dates form online ( Click Here for Important date Form ), we would like to hand out coats for Sunday but need to know who will be coming. Email was sent on the weekend with further details on the coming dates.
