Hello NLCC Achilles Families,

This is the weekly update for Friday Sept 16th. We are back to training this week.

All cadets with uniforms are to wear them. If you have a piece of uniform that doesn’t fit you should be completing the online form before Thursday and bring in the piece that doesn’t fit to exchange. Link can be found on last week's announcement.

Every cadet is to bring something to write with and a binder with papers. Binders are preferred for handouts cadets may receive. Don't forget a water bottle.

Drop off is at the door starting at 6:35, attendance will be taken upon arrival. If you cannot make it on a Friday please email the Corps so we know, info@nlccachilles.ca. 

We will be looking to start up canteen again, hopefully in October, this year and will be looking for parent volunteers. Sign up at the front doors will be available

Hello NLCC Achilles Families and Cadets,

This is your weekly update for Friday Sept 9th. Yes we are back to weekly updates! This also means we are back at the ship this week Friday Sept 9th. As noted in the Welcome Back email ( please check and review this email ) cadets are still to be dropped off at the door, due to lack of space in the building. Masks are not required but welcomed, we do ask each cadet to have a mask on them in case we are in an area where spacing isn't possible. No COVID screen is required this year either. An officer will meet you at the door to check in your cadet for attendance.  NO UNIFORMS this week, please wear proper civilian attire with closed toe shoes.

6:35 - Senior Cadets ( PO2, PO1, CPO2 )

6:45 - Junior Cadets ( New Cadets, OC, AC and LC )

Pick up Times

8:50 - Junior Cadets ( New Cadets, OC, AC and LC )

8:55 - Senior Cadets ( PO2, PO1, CPO2 )

If you need to exchange any uniform parts you need to complete the Online Uniform Form LINK HERE . This should be completed the Thursday before cadets. New cadets will be sent link once they approach the 6 week mark in cadets.

Hello NLCC Achilles Families

As announced after Annual on Saturday, we will be having one last night at the Ship, this Friday June 17th. This is a fun night. Cadets are to wear appropriate attire, shoes (no sandals/flip flops) and corp ball cap. Drop off will be between 1835 and 1845.  We ask that all cadets be picked up by 2015 (8:15pm). We will be going outside. Masks are required indoors but can be removed if like while outside, if spacing is maintained. There will be snacks and juice but please make sure to bring a water bottle. 

Canoeing will start next Tuesday June 21st for all cadets that attended the Canoeing meeting, Tuesday June 7th.

Hello NLCC Achilles Families

This is the weekly update for Friday June 10th.

NO UNIFORMS

Cadets are to come in appropriate civilian attire and shoes, with Achilles Ball Cap. We will be practicing for Annual and hopefully have time to do some work on boot polishing. Please bring your cadet boots in a bag with polishing supplies. Don't forget your water bottle.

There is a slight change to the drop off and start times for Annual but I will send that separately so it doesn't get lost in this message.

Hello NLCC Achilles Families

This is the weekly update for Friday June 3rd.

We continue to meet in person, cadets are to be in uniform this week, we will be inspecting to make sure all is in order for Annual on Saturday June 11th.

Cadets are reminded to complete the COVID screen ( LINK here ) before 6pm (1800) on Friday, completing on time assist with smoother entry at the ship. Drop off times are PO2, PO1 and CPO is 1835 (6:35), and ACs 1845 (6:45). Cadets do NOT need to bring writing material this week, but remember your water bottle. We will be doing things both inside and outside the ship.

Reminders

Decoration Day & Flag Placement ( June 5 and 4 ), cadets who have been asked to attend these events have received an email and handout associated. 

Joint Annual Review - Saturday June 11th - MANDATORY,  Exhibition Park Arena , cadets are to arrive between 1200 -1215, parents to arrive 1315 (1:15) starting at 1330 (1:30 pm) sharp. Bring your own Chair. Handout was given last Friday for parents invite.
